√I will bring fresh, new ideas to County Government. We must use a more business-minded approach to operating our
departments and stop the knee-jerk reaction to automatically increase spending and raise taxes year after year.
√I will work with County Executive Scott Walker to control property taxes while maintaining essential county services
by aggressively recruiting responsible economic development within the county.
√I will work for legislation
to give the Board of Supervisors more control over the Pension Board to prevent further scandals and misuses of funds. We
must protect the pension for those who really deserve it, and protect the taxpayers from getting stiffed with the bill.
√I will work to protect and preserve our park system. We must implement new ways of increasing revenue from
the parks themselves so that we can upgrade outdated and underutilized facilities, and step up maintenance without putting
the burden solely on the taxpayer's back.
√I will work towards better cooperation between the Board
of Supervisors and County Executive Scott Walker. We must put aside petty personal and political differences and get the job
done.
